The fictitious author Tor Rasmussen (also known as Kraken) makes his malign presence felt across this series of painted books and painted book-like sculptural forms.
The works settle themselves into two formats: small paperbacks influenced by trashy gothic/romance fiction featuring Rasmussen and the artist’s wife caught in moments of menace/fright/wonder; and hardback library books featuring titles capturing Rasmussen’s unique guttural expressions, embedded into the gallery walls.
